Just continuous communication in Japanese - self-introduction
I work as a paralegal for government here and I tend to travel to Japan every year (went three times last year). My need to communicate more frequently in Japanese is what brought me here. By communicating more frequently, it makes me think in the language (I'm getting there, but my vocabulary is rather limited, and I'm only on the N5 level. I'm surprised I was able to get by on that while visiting Japan, though). I'm really hoping I can communicate with someone in Japanese frequently even while I'm living in my home country. That's why the e-mail communication will be good. Right now, my only way of communicating is commenting on a popular Japanese singer's facebook page, and that is only occasionally. - target(goal) to learn Japanese
I go to Japan every year. I am a member of a fan club in which Japanese only is the policy (though when one staff discovered I was a foreigner, she tried to explain things to me in English. Even the singer, who isn't fluent in English, tried to greet me in English, breaking his own rule). It's also a way to write (well, type. I must practice more handwriting) in Japanese. So far, the only Japanese communication I make is the occasional comment on the singer's facebook. I also tend to write live reports for Japanese music, so I would like at some point to do it bilingually. Hopefully I can speak with someone who will not be intimidated with my learning Japanese. Some of my friends have actually grown distant after finding out that I was even able to manage in Japanese when I went to Japan last year. While not understanding entireties, I was still able to pick up and communicate. - Japanese level
